Process Overview

Materials &

Build Considerations

A kitchen is the hub of the home, and design choices affect both look and function. We walk you through the options and help you create a layout that makes everyday use easy while matching your style.

Things we help you decide on:

  • Cabinetry – stock, semi-custom, or fully custom builds

  • Countertops – quartz, stone, laminate, or specialty finishes

  • Flooring – tile, hardwood, or LVP depending on durability needs

  • Backsplashes – tile, stone, or solid-surface panels

  • Lighting – recessed, pendants, and under-cabinet lighting

  • Plumbing Fixtures – sinks, faucets, and garbage disposals

  • Appliances – integration of new appliances and hookups

  • Layout Changes – opening walls, adding islands, or reconfiguring flow

Construction Process

Once the design and materials are finalized, we move into construction. If a pre-existing structure is on site, the process begins with demolition and safe disposal. From there, framing is completed to meet current code, followed by inspections and finishing details.

Step-by-Step Process:

  • Demo and Disposal – Removal of old cabinets, counters, flooring, and walls if needed

  • Structural Adjustments – Reinforcement or framing changes for open layouts or islands

  • Plumbing & Electrical – Rough-ins for sinks, appliances, and lighting

  • Flooring Install – Set before cabinetry for a clean transition

  • Cabinet Install – Carefully leveled and secured for proper function

  • Countertops – Templated and installed after cabinetry is set

  • Backsplash & Finishes – Tile or surface installs with clean transitions

  • Final Paint & Trim – Walls, casing, and touch-ups

  • Walkthrough – Review of all finishes and function before completion

Initial Estimate &

Material Choice

Every kitchen remodel begins with a site visit to measure the space, understand how you use it, and discuss your goals. For basic kitchens, we can provide an estimate directly based on layout and materials. Any kitchen that requires more than a basic level of design will need to be designed by a kitchen specialist, which we can provide for you. After renderings and material selections are finalized, we can then quote you a price. Kitchens at this level fall under Semi-Custom or Custom in the Pricing Guide.

What’s included at this stage.

  • On-site measurements and consultation

  • Review of layout possibilities and workflow (the “kitchen triangle”)

  • Material options explained (cabinets, countertops, flooring, lighting)

  • Honest pricing that balances cost with quality and durability

  • Written estimate with scope of work

Why Choosing the Right Team Matters

A kitchen is more than cabinets and counters — it’s where families gather, meals are shared, and a house truly feels like a home. We understand the importance of this space, and that’s why every detail matters, from layout and lighting to the final finish. Our team approaches each step with patience and precision, coordinating all the moving parts so the end result isn’t just functional, but a place you’re proud to bring people together in.
